Camp Hope is our three week, day camp for children who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade. It is an adult-mentored, student-led ministry. Each day children will hear a new bible story, learn what it means to their life by eating a snack, playing a game, and experiencing the story through the arts, STEM, snack and worship.

Camp Hope is a day camp that is passionate about growing leaders. This is one of the reasons that Camp Hope is one of the BEST ways to develop youth leaders. It’s a vital part of what Camp Hope is all about!

Camp Hope Mentors

We are so excited for Camp Hope this summer!  We have another large staff, and we need a mentor for each one.  Mentor sounds like a big job, but it really isn’t.  Here is what we are asking for you to do:

  • Text or call your mentee each day to see how they are doing or send them an inspirational quote.
  • Bring one small snack for them each week they work
  • One snack for the whole staff one time.
  • Add them to your prayers.

That’s it!  It is super easy and very important.  For me personally, it has been a meaningful thing to have someone check in on me and know that they are praying for me and there to encourage me on hard days.  If you are interested, please click the link below to sign up.  We hope you can mentor this year whether you can do all 3 weeks or just 1 week.  You can still mentor even if you are out of town.  You can mentor from anywhere.  If you are interested in a camp shirt, we need you to sign up by May 25.  Thank you for considering it.

Peanut Butter workday

Messiah has 2 opportunities to help at the LDS peanut butter cannery this year. Save the dates for August 1st and November 21st. Shifts are 7am-12 noon! This is a fun informative volunteer opportunity. For more information please contact Kristie Musick. Participants must be 16 or older.

CAM Composting

CAM has recently taken over the composting so if you’d like to contribute food scraps that would be wonderful! No meat products please! Follow the walkway in the garden through the gate- throw your food scraps in the bin to your right marked Genesis. Grass clippings are also needed. These should be bagged and placed in bins on the left side of the garden behind the greenhouse.
