Join us for a fun and immersive experience celebrating the Christmas season! Our “Night in Bethlehem” event is packed with
hands-on activities, interactive tents, food samples from the era, and characters that bring the story of Jesus’ birth to life.
This family-friendly event offers something for everyone.

Craft Tents

  • Candle Making Tent
    Help children make their own candle to take home.
  • Passport to Bethlehem Tent
    Assist children in decorating their personal passport for the event.
  • Leather Shoppe
    Learn about the importance of leather in ancient times and let the children try their hand at it.
  • Sewing Bags Tent
    Guide children as they complete stitching on a pre-stitched burlap circle.
  • Basket Weaving
    Children can learn how baskets were made and create their own to take home.

Food Tents

  • Bakery Shop
    Sample delicious breads and cookies.
  • Coffee/Cookie/Cider Tent
    Enjoy free coffee, cookies, and cider.
  • Produce Market
    Taste fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Soldier’s Tavern
    Try hearty soldier’s stew.
  • Spice Merchant
    Experience the smells of various spices used in the era.

  • Carpenter’s Tent
    Explore the tools used during Jesus’ time.
  • Bethlehem Dress-Up Tent
    Dress up in costumes from Jesus’ day and capture the memories with a photo.

    Check in and get instructions on where to go next.

    Listen to captivating stories about the birth of Jesus.

Meet the Characters of Bethlehem

  • Angel: Stand with the Holy Family.
  • Camel Handler: Guide the camel through the village.
  • Innkeepers: Greet guests, share stories about the Inn, and stamp passports.
  • King Herod: Interact with King Herod and learn his part in the story.
  • Kings: Sing hymns and parade to the Holy Family.
  • Rabbi and Rabbi’s Wife: Walk the village and answer questions about the event.
  • Roman Soldiers: Guard King Herod and roam the village.
  • Runners (Villagers): Help resupply tents and keep things running smoothly.

Support Staff

  • Parking Lot Crew: Ensure safe crossing for families as they arrive.
  • Kitchen Helpers: Work behind the scenes preparing the cookies, cider, and coffee for our guests.

We are looking for people to help bring our village to life.  You can sign up by clicking the button below.  We provide the costumes, and all the materials.  All we need is people to help.  We have some positions that are costumed and others that are behind the scenes.  This is a great experience that brings meaning to the Christmas season and helps you to get to know the community of Cypress.  Click below to sign up.
