Small Groups

Doing Life Together

We want to help you become the person God has created you to be. Your journey has a next step and we’ll help you find it. You don’t have to take the next step alone. With a strong community of friends, you can laugh, grow, and serve with people who genuinely care about you. Small Groups, simply put, are how we live out authentic community at Messiah. It’s easier than ever to find support, build relationships, and make a difference. We were made for relationship with God and each other, and Small Groups allow us to come together as friends to receive accountability, belonging, and care in an environment of love. Our desire is that every person connected to our church would be invested in a Small Group. Find a small group, or LifeGroup, to join you on your journey.
 
We also offer multiple support groups.

Life Groups

We believe that Life Groups are the place where spiritual growth happens best. We all need to be connected with people who love us, care about what’s going on in our lives and encourage us as we move from where we are to where God wants us to be. Our Life Groups also serve together. We care for each other when someone needs a visit in the hospital or a meal delivered. We care for our neighbors, and seek projects to serve our community, sharing the love and hope of Christ to our neighbors. Life Groups meet for 6-8 weeks, then take 6-8 weeks break before the next session. When Life Groups are in session, you will be able to sign-up under “Events”.

Young at Heart

Young at Heart is for adults aged 55+. This group works in partnership with the congregation to help meet the needs of people, regardless of age, religion or race, in ministry, fellowship and activities. Their purpose is:

  • To help meet the needs of all people in the church and community.
  • To provide activities and fellowship for senior adults.
  • To work with other ministries at Messiah and provide volunteers to serve.

Young at Heart meets on the third Monday of each month from Noon-3 pm. Everyone 55 and over is invited to attend for food and fellowship. Please bring a dish to share. There is a free-will offering of one dollar per person. Participants are also asked to bring a small snack or dessert to be shared as they enjoy fellowship in conversation and playing games.

Men's Breakfast Group

Please come and join a group of men for conversation and breakfast at 7:30 AM every Saturday (when life groups are in session). We meet at the Messiah in the Conference Room. This is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other men from Messiah. All are welcome. For more information you can contact the church office – office@messiahlc.org

We want you to experience what authentic community looks like. It doesn’t matter if you have been a life long believer, a new believer, or someone who has lost his/her way, we want you to be a part of this community.  There is a place for you here.  We don’t want something FROM you.
