Paid & Volunteer (Support) Staff Application

There are two ways to serve at Camp Hope – both are essential to a great Day Camp:

Volunteer (Support) Staff:

People between 7th grade-8th grade (completed by summer), people are invited to serve in leadership positions that require orientation and specific time commitments. Please fill out an application and turn it in. If you would like to volunteer and cannot make the training event, we will be holding a training each Monday morning of camp for you to attend. If you do not attend a training you cannot volunteer that week.

Paid Staff:

People between grades completed 9th grade-college will be called to serve as small group leaders and directors. Paid staff are required to participate and attend the Staff Training Event, all staff meetings and to be prepared each day. See insert for the different ministry positions available.

All Camp Staff will be interviewed in person or on the phone. Make sure to dress appropriately for all face to face interviews, remember this is a job interview.

Paid Staff (Completed 9th grade-college)

Camp Manager:

Serves as a role model to campers and staff. Over sees the staff and reports to Camp Director. Runs all staff meetings and helps with all the office administration.

Small Group Leader:

Serve as a role model to lead a small group of campers. Includes preparation and leadership of Bible study (Manna) and Tribe Time, participation in games, crafts, music, snack, the camp store, lunch and quiet time (Sabbath).

Art Leader:

Serve as a role model in designing crafts for each day of camp. Leads Bible study discussion and craft for each small group through a day of Camp Hope.

Drama Leader:

Serves as a role model in acting out stories in the Bible and emphasizing the lessons learned.

STEM Leader:

Serve as a role model in executing science and technology projects for each day of camp. Helps campers see how God is present in our world through science and technology. Lead campers through experiments and discussion for each small group through a day of Camp Hope.

Games Leader:

Serve as a role model in designing games for each day of camp. Leads bible study discussion and games for each small group through a day of Camp Hope.

Snack Leader:

Serve as a role model in designing a snack for each day of camp. Leads bible study discussion and snack for each small group through a day of Camp Hope.

Support Staff (7th grade-Adult) Unpaid positions

Small Group Support: Serves with Small Group Leaders in leading campers through activities.

STEM Support: Serves with Leader in leading small groups in the daily activities.

Snacks Support: Serves with Leader in leading small groups in the daily activities.

Games Support: Serves with Leader in leading small groups in the daily activities.

Art Support: Serves with Leader in leading small groups in the daily activities.

Drama Support: Serves with Leader in leading small groups in the daily activities.

Media Coordinator: Take photos and videos throughout the days of Camp Hope and design a weekly newsletter for campers of the weeks activities. Put together a video to show on Sunday of the week’s activities.
