Living in God's Goodness

Living in God's Goodness

Mission of Messiah Lutheran Church:

The mission of Messiah Lutheran Church is to love God, love others, and seek to be better disciples every day. Together, we live out this mission in our community and throughout the world.

This past year, Messiah has:

Celebrated 11 baptisms

  • Welcomed 156 staff and campers through Camp Hope (77% of whom were non-members)
  • Ministered to 75 children weekly through KidsKonnect
  • Hosted over 107 people through our joint Night of Hope worship services
  • Fed 180 students in Liberia for an entire school year
  • Continued to be a top supporter for Cypress Assistance Ministries

Through these ministries, we celebrate a tradition of following Christ’s example by feeding the hungry and providing a space for people to grow in their faith. This year has been a year of renewal so that we can live in the Goodness of God.This past year, Messiah has:

Caring for Our Campus:

Our campus is one of our most important resources, enabling us to impact lives, share our faith, and create a welcoming space where everybody is somebody. As our facilities continue to age, there are some much-needed upgrades to ensure our campus remains a welcoming and usable space. By caring for our campus, we are caring for the place God has entrusted to us.

Our campus also supports Ruach Community, our partner in local and global ministry. Their church and school in Liberia reach hundreds of children and families. Together, we worship and serve, sharing one mission across two communities.

Ministry Initiatives for 2026:

To meet the growing needs of the community in 2026, we need an additional $825 a week. With this increase, we plan to:

  • Upgrade and refresh our church campus through special projects and upgrades. This will ensure our campus remains a welcoming and usable space.
    Needed: $480 per week
  • Strengthen our relationship with Ruach Community by providing food for school children in Liberia, supporting Ruach Life Church in Liberia, and creating new ways to partner with Ruach Life Cypress.
    Needed: $192 per week
  • Continue to offer impactful worship services, expand small group connections, invest in our staff, and support our neighbors near and far.
    Needed: $153 per week
